C2C Wales

I’ve cycled across France from coast to coast (Caen to Cannes, which is a real C2C). How about doing the same for Wales? The weather and the food are probably not as good, but the hills are shorter (if steeper) and the language is pronouncible if not understandable.

This route goes from Casnewydd (Newport) to Caergybi (Holyhead), places readily accessible by rail. It takes in as many steep climbs and high points as possible along the spine of Wales, earning it the title of The Dragon’s Backbone.

The descriptions accompanying the route segments are for a 7 day camping trip , but the route could be easily tweaked to use B&B accommodation instead.
